this park is on hold..
caltrans and the city are finding the money and are going to build the park along with a dog run. hopefully more info will come soon but it looks like it could be done this year.
sept 7th 2006 I just spoke with NELSON with Caltrans and they are waiting for plans from the City. Rich has yet to return my phone call so I can find out what we can do to help. Nelson has also said that the plans are not changing and there will be a skatepark here!!!! Our first success story in progress...

june is when the park will begin construction. we'll see how long it takes!!

the park will be started soon!!!! a contractor is being picked and hopefully construction will begin in march. the city is very excited and positive about this new park!! this will set the bar for all of the city's new parks. let's help in any way we can. leave me an e-mail and let me know how you want to help.

I spoke with Mary Tierney today and she has said that plans are moving slowly through the city. the park is being renovated first then the skatepark will be added. scheduled to start in jan with the skate park scheduled for june breaking. maybe by the winter we can skate!!

golden gate park/ horse shoe pits-
newest skate development!!
the city has said that the horse shoe pits at golden gate park has been designated as a skate area. they want the fountain not to be skated so they are going to add some kind of skate park. the spot is not big and the city wants suggestions on designing it so they can allocate the money to get it built. leave me an e mail with your suggestion and i will try to get them to the right person.
